FINANCIAL GOALS

My most compelling financial goal right now is paying off my mortgage. A mid-September layoff puts my original timetable for doing so in question, but I'll keep that goal posted here and hope I can get back on track soon to hit this goal.

Goal #1: Pay off mortgage by 2015.
Balance as of 8/30/09: $61,749.

A Few Non-Financial Life Goals

1. Visit every national park in the country.

2. Read a biography or autobiography of every president, starting with George Washington and ending with President Obama.

3. Volunteer in a US presidential campaign.
