I went to costco for the 1st time in several years since giving up my membership. I tagged along with mom and spent $94. I always enjoy just browsing there, but once i put a frozen item in my carriage, i sort of felt like rushing as i don't want things to dethaw before i get home...even tho it was cold outside. I noticed a lot more organic or 'healthy' food items available.
already find myself losing track of what day it is...if you're not working or on a regular schedule, things sure turn to mush quickly!
Made a bran/raisin quick bread last night. Still reading my latest book on what happens to our trash after we throw it out. It's pretty interesting, and definitely making me more conscious of all the stuff i throw out on a daily basis, wishing there was some use for the little plastic hangars my underwear came on when i bought them at kohl's. If i'd been thinking, i would have removed them from the hangars at the register so they could recycle them. Wish there was some way to use the little cardboard rolls paper towels are wrapped around. I think i will take another go at composting come spring.
Can't say i've been more productive today than what i've recorded above. I do plan to vacuum as soon as i post this. And i resurrected my Netflix account once i got my new job (a very small splurge) so tonight i'm watching Babel, which i know is a good movie.
One more month to go and i can analyze my 2007 expenses every which way, comparing them to the previous year, totalling each expense category, tracking investment gains, etc. I'm always especially interested in how spending on utilities changes from year to year. I still haven't turned the heat higher than 60, for instance, even a bit more spartan than previous years.
